Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who traveled to New York to attend the annual session of the United Nations General Assembly, met and held talks with Eritrean Foreign Minister Othman Saleh Mohammed on Saturday evening.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and ways to expand relations between the two countries in various fields of interest to both countries, as well as discussed regional and international developments.
Stressing the importance of greater cooperation between Islamic countries to confront the common challenges of the Islamic world, especially the unprecedented danger posed by the expansionism and warmongering of the Zionist regime, the two sides stressed the need for urgent and comprehensive action by Islamic countries and the international community to stop the genocide and to hold accountable and punish the leaders of the Zionist regime.
