His Excellency President Isaias Afwerki, President of the State of Eritrea, visited Jeddah Islamic Port today, and he was received by the President of the General Authority for Ports, Engineer Suleiman bin Khalid Al-Mazrou.
During the visit, His Excellency was briefed on a comprehensive visual presentation about the Red Sea Gateway Terminal Company, one of the national companies specializing in the maritime transport and logistics sector in the Kingdom, and its most prominent operational activities and advanced technological systems.
His Excellency toured the company’s facilities and was briefed on the latest technologies and operational services provided by the company, and its operational efficiency that contributes to increasing capacity and enhancing the competitiveness of Saudi ports.
This visit comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s keenness to enhance regional and international cooperation in the maritime transport and logistics sector, and to support the position of its ports as strategic hubs for global trade, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
