US presidential election: managing expectations after the polls close

Americans go to the polls today to elect their next president. Both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump used their final day on the campaign trail on Monday to drum up support in Pennsylvania - a state that’s viewed as key to both in their quest for the White House. Polls show a dead heat in this battleground state. But, warns Alauna Safarpour, don’t expect to know the outcome within hours of polling stations closing. Ballot counting will take time because of Pennsylvania’s quirky election rules. 

Sifting fact from fiction has become increasingly difficult on social media platforms. But, if you've been duped, you're not alone. Two misinformation experts, Sam Wineburg and Michael Caulfield, explain why it’s so hard to idenfity fake videos.
