Egypt-Eritrea: Shoukry, full support for Asmara because he finds his international role
Cairo, 13 Sep 15:39 - (Agenzia Nova)- Egypt confirms its full support for Eritrea, committed to finding its regional and international role in the light of the latest positive developments for the stability of the Horn of Africa. This was stated by the Foreign Minister of Cairo, Sameh Shoukry, bringing to the President Eritrea Isaias Afwerki a message from the Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fatah al Sisi. The head of Egyptian diplomacy arrived this morning in Asmara after stopping in Addis Ababa. On this occasion, Afwerki expressed his country's "pride" for the historical relations with Egypt and for "the constant support of the latter to Eritrea in all sectors". Focus also on the ongoing dispute over the Great Rebirth Dam (Gerd) project and the priorities at the heart of the African Union presidency, which next year will be up to Egypt.
