Natnael Tesfatsion is the new yellow jersey for the Tour of Rwanda 2022. The Eritrean took advantage of the 6th stage, run this Friday, to take control in the general classification.
The battle continues on Rwandan roads. In the general classification, the Spaniard Angel Madrazo (Burgos-BH) is dispossessed of his yellow jersey in favor of Natnael Tesfatsion, the new leader. Two stages from the end, the Eritrean dreams of winning this edition, as he did in 2020. But there is still a long way to go for the 22-year-old runner. Because from the start, the yellow jersey has changed owners at each stage.
This Friday's race was also marked by the abandonment of Axel Laurance, who had been stripped of his yellow jersey on Thursday. Suffering from the knee for two days, the Frenchman is forced to end his Rwandan adventure.
