On the central podium, at the invitation of the president, are the heads of a number of African countries who participated in the Russia-Africa summit. Among them are the presidents of Burkina Faso, the Republic of the Congo, Mali and Eritrea. Also present are the Deputy Chairman of the Sudanese Supreme Council, the Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, the Vice President of Equatorial Guinea, and the head of the Eswatini delegation.

The main Naval parade in honor of the Navy Day was held in the waters of the Neva in St. Petersburg. The ships of the Northern, Pacific, Baltic and Black Sea Fleets of Russia took part in the parade.

In addition, ships of the Russian naval base in Syria passed in front of the audience: 45 ships, boats and submarines. About 3,000 servicemen also took part in the parade.

“Today we congratulate the brave crews of ships and submarines, the fearless pilots of naval aviation, the personnel of its ground services, the courageous soldiers of the coastal troops, our daring marines,” said Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The delegation of the Leningrad Region, which watched the Main Naval Parade, was headed by Governor Alexander Drozdenko. He stated that the 47th region is proud that it was in Lodeynoye Pole that the first ships of the Baltic Fleet of Peter the Great were built. Now the Leningrad shipbuilders continue to work for the Russian Navy.
