Sudanese Foreign Minister discusses with Eritrean counterpart in New York ways to develop relations

Ambassador Hussein Awad Ali, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met on September 23, 2024, with Mr. Osman Saleh, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Eritrea, in New York.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance and develop them to broader horizons, in addition to regional issues of common interest and coordination of positions in international forums.

The Minister thanked Eritrea for its strong positions in support of Sudan and expressed Sudan's keenness on its historical relations with Eritrea. The Minister also extended an invitation to his Eritrean counterpart to visit Sudan.

For his part, the Eritrean Foreign Minister affirmed his country's continued firm and steadfast position in supporting the Sudanese government, leadership and armed forces, which play their role in preserving Sudan's unity, security and territorial integrity.
