Algerian Hamza Yacine (Team Madar Pro-Cycling) won the fourth stage of the Tour of Algeria cycling race (TAC-2025), held on Wednesday between Batna and Biskra over a distance of 156.3 km, thus retaining the leader's yellow jersey.
Impressive since the start of the 2025 tour, the 27-year-old Algerian rider crossed the finish line in 3 hours 32 minutes and 37 seconds, ahead of the Eritrean Maekele Milkiyas and the other Algerian Nadjib Mohamed Assal (MC Alger), credited with the same time.
This is Hamza Yacine's fourth victory in as many stages, confirming his excellent form during this TAC2025, as well as his great ambitions for the final title.
At the end of this 4th stage, Yacine Hamza retained the yellow leader's jersey, the green jersey for best sprinter, the red jersey for best Algerian, as well as the blue jersey for stage winner.
On Thursday, the fifth stage of the TAC-2025 will take the peloton from Biskra to Boussaâda over a distance of 171.2 km.
Included in the calendar of the Africa Tour of the International Cycling Union (UCI), the 2025 Tour of Algeria and the three Grand Prix, placed under the control of a college of race commissaires, chaired by the Belgian Patrick Demunter, will be an important stage in collecting points in preparation for the 2025 Road World Championships, scheduled for the first time on the African continent, in Rwanda.
