The men's champion was won by Samsom Amare Hailemicael from Eritrea with a time of 2 hours, 7 minutes and 01 seconds. Chinese runner Yang Shaohui won the men's championship of the National Championships with a time of 2 hours, 9 minutes and 49 seconds, and the women's champion was won by Xu Bingjie.

The total number of applicants for the Wuxi Marathon this year reached 429,447, an increase of more than 160,000 over last year. According to statistics, the winning rate for the marathon event is about 6.00%, and the winning rates for the half marathon and the fun run are about 3.26% and 4.59% respectively. This year's event starts at the intersection of Yinxiu Road and Taihu Avenue. The first half of the race will be held along the classic track around Lihu Lake. Runners will successively cross the Bogong Island Ecological Green Corridor, the Lihu Misty Painting Realm, the Shili Fangdi Cherry Blossom Trail, the Yuantouzhu Lake Light Scenic Spot and the Changguangxi Wetland Gallery. The lake and the mountains complement each other, and the egrets dance in the rippling water. The second half of the race passes through the green springs of the Shangxian River Wetland and the Gonghu Bay Ecological Conservation Area. The Metasequoia Forest Corridor is mottled with light and shadow, and the Chinese crows and sparrows sing in the reeds.

It is reported that as a World Athletics Gold Label event and a Chinese Athletics Association A1 certified event, the prize money for this year's Xi'an Marathon has been greatly increased, with the total amount reaching 430,000 US dollars.

In the end, Asefa Mengistu Negwo, an Ethiopian athlete, won the men's marathon championship with a time of 2 hours, 8 minutes and 51 seconds, setting a new record for the event. In the highly anticipated men's competition, national record holder He Jie won the first place in China with a time of 2 hours, 10 minutes and 28 seconds, significantly breaking the previous Chinese men's marathon record of 2 hours, 12 minutes and 16 seconds set by Yang Dinghong in 2024. This is also the second full marathon event that He Jie has participated in this year after the Tokyo Marathon's 2 hours, 7 minutes and 20 seconds.
