Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad, met today, Sunday, with Osman Saleh, Eritrean Foreign Minister, to discuss ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries and coordinate positions on issues of common interest.
The Foreign Minister emphasized the deep historical ties that bind the two brotherly nations, stressing Egypt's full support for Eritrea in preserving its sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
The Foreign Minister praised the outcomes of President Isaias Afwerki's recent successful bilateral visit to Egypt, aimed at advancing and strengthening relations between the two countries across various fields. He emphasized the importance of building upon the results of the Eritrean President's Economic Advisor's visit to Egypt in April.
