Trump’s Administration is in chaos.

It doesn’t take much “reading between the lines” to recognize that the February 27th Reuters news-story “Ultimatum to federal workers raises tensions between Musk, White House staff” is reporting actually an Administration that is in absolute chaos. I won’t quote it here, because you can see the whole thing just by clicking onto that link, but what it describes is an indecisive President who is demanding contradictory things from his appointees, so that the actual problem (which stands behind the story) is that Trump himself doesn’t have the foggiest idea of what he most wants to be done, and of how he most wants his ‘team’ (if they still can even be called that) to go about doing it.
I have never been a supporter overall of any of the recent U.S. Presidential candidates, and have viewed all of them very negatively, but I am an American historian and don’t know of ANY prior U.S. President, ever, who was so plain stupid as Trump is. Logical inconsistency is the ultimate display of stupidity (because NOTHING else can ever salvage it).
Furthermore, the things in Trump’s politics that he does CONSISTENTLY display are his contempt for “losers” (as-if the better side in a conflict ALWAYS wins, and the worse side always loses — and thus: losing a conflict is, to him, not merely a failure to be the stronger side, but is ALSO an indication of being MORALLY inferior to the opponent. According to that ethical system (a variant of “Might makes right”), billionaires — who, after all, are huge winners at what they do (regardless of what its longer-term or international consequences might be) — are therefore enormously favored by Trump, and he has consequently loaded more billionaires into his Administration than any previous President has done. As everyone knows by now, America’s wealthiest billionaire, Elon Musk, is triumphantly not only ONE of those people, but has been granted by his boss, Trump, a power which goes across all of the OTHER federal Departments; and is, in that sense, quite possibly the MOST powerful of them all, right now.
There is NO indication that Musk’s famous symbolism of physically bringing a chainsaw to a public rally for the work that his DOGE ‘efficiency’ is doing to the U.S. Government is an unrealistic display by him of what he does and is so proud of doing, which is like a surgeon’s bringing to a heart-operation or other operation that requires scalpels and lasers, etc. (in order to make precise and fully knowledgeable cuts to save a patient’s life), a CHAINSAW, which was designed merely to chop off whole branches, and cut down whole trees. This is not surgery; it is arrant butchery. The stupidity of it is obvious to everyone — except Trump (who has thus far been egging Musk on to IGNORE the patient’s screams and wriggles to get out of that man’s clutches).
Trump is demanding that in his first 100 days he will achieve upon the entire federal Government what would be — if it can or should be done at all — an operation that, to prepare properly, would require at least a year if it is being done as an emergency operation (instead of the way it SHOULD be done — which would require years of careful advance-planning — if it even SHOULD be none).
On February 25th, one of the news-sites that issued my article “It’s time to fire President Trump.”, was The Duran, which is courageously and passionately in favor of the First Amendment (and is one of only around six sites that still publish my articles) but is ALSO pro-Trump (both of which — the pro-free-speech and the anti-Trump —Google hates and so censors The Duran site out of all of its search-finds); and, at least as-of now, The Duran has (which it never did before) slashed across the reader-comments to it, broad-brush-like “X”s, partially covering over even my own responses to some of the readers’ comments there. I have repeatedly asked the owners why they did — or at least still allow — this defacement of that conversation, and am still waiting for an answer. (They then did the same thing the next day, with yet another article that I wrote which was critical of Trump.) This goes to show the enormous pressures in the political right-wing, to simply close one’s eyes to the right-wing’s own entrenched myths based upon constantly repeated lies — the mirror-image of what happens equally on the left. Myth-busting is NEVER popular. But it needs CONSTANTLY to be done, wherever people believe in lies.
Lies are not errors — they are tools of propaganda, to mentally enslave people toward their particular cause. They are mental aggression, to create mental slaves. All lies must, therefore, be called-out.
