An Italian-Eritrean engineering university is born, in fact a memorandum of understanding has been signed in Asmara .
This was announced by a note issued last week in Eritrea by about 80 Italian entrepreneurs, in conjunction with the visit to the country of the Horn of Africa by Deputy Foreign Minister Emanuela Del Re.
"Specifically - it is specified in the note - a document was signed and registered that provides for the formalization of a joint scientific committee that gives rise to an ' International polytechnic University of Corno d'Africa' school based in Asmara and then in other countries neighbors such as Ethiopia and Somalia . At the beginning of 2019 the committee will meet in Rome ".
In addition to training, the Italian delegation discussed with the representatives of the Eritrean government the potential of the country, in the various fields of expertise, namely energy, construction, mobility, transport and communications, agriculture, food production and distribution, plant engineering, textile, tourism , the marble supply chain and horse riding.
During the meeting with the Italian delegation, the Eritrean Minister of Information Yemane Ghebremeskel said: "Eritrea is in a phase of rebirth. Things have changed now. This is a new era, where socio-economic and cultural development is our main goal. In this sense, as a representative of the Eritrean government, we welcome this first delegation of Italian entrepreneurs with enthusiasm and positivity. Never before have we welcomed so many entrepreneurs into so many different economic sectors. Eritrea and the whole Horn of Africa is really a part of the African continent that offers real opportunities for Italian companies ".
