Eritrea on Thursday accused Qatar of seeking to sabotage a plot inside the country and eastern Sudan by stoking ethnic clashes in Port Sudan, using members of the terrorist Brotherhood.
In a statement, the Eritrean Ministry of Information said that after despairing of using Sudanese territory as a hotbed for launching its plan this year, Qatar has devised a sabotage plan that includes 10 points of sabotage, sowing religious hatred and destabilizing security and stability by assassinating key figures by training members of the terrorist Brotherhood. .
The plan, according to the same statement, includes the reunification of the leaders of the Eritrean political opposition; organizing the work of their associations and providing necessary support through associations; inciting youth to engage in acts of rebellion against the government; and arousing and inciting Eritrean Muslims against citizens by instilling extremism among opposition elements.
The statement also stressed that the plan also includes planting the seeds of ethnic division and hatred among the Eritrean people, inciting protests and demonstrations against the government, training members of the "Brotherhood" in Sudan on how to plant landmines and ambushes and the assassination of senior government officials; Launch and intensify hostile propaganda and discredit the country by publishing passages on human rights violations.
