The eighth edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World in Asmara (the second in Eritrea) was inaugurated today in the presence of a large audience and some local authorities.
The event is divided into a 5-day cooking course, held by two chefs from the Italian Federation of Chefs (Fic), Daniele Paralovo and Paolo Maspero, aimed at almost one hundred professionals and amateurs in the sector, and three tasting evenings offered to the Eritrean government authorities, the diplomatic community of Asmara and the Italian community in the country.
The 2023 edition of the Kitchen Week will also take place in partnership with the National Confederation of Eritrean Workers (NCEW), which has made its modern kitchen made available with Italian cooperation funds.
At the end of the "cooking class", the two Italian chefs will hold a HACCP (Hazard analysis critical control point) and food hygiene course for Eritrean professionals, the first time such a training proposal has been offered in Eritrea.
