BOUSSAADA- Algerian Hamza Yacine (Team Madar Pro-Cycling) won the fifth stage of the Tour of Algeria cycling (TAC-2025), raced Thursday between Biskra and Boussaâda over a distance of 171.2 km, keeping the yellow leader’s jersey in the process.
The Algerian representative (27 years old) won the final sprint, crossing the finish line, with a time of: 4 hours 53 minutes and 17 seconds, ahead of the Eritrean Milkias Maekele and the German Carstensen Lekas with the same time.
The sixth stage of the Tour de Algeria 2025 will be held tomorrow, Friday, between Bou Saada and Djelfa, over a distance of 115 km.
Included in the International Cycling Union calendar, the Tour of Algeria and the three Grand Prix organised with it are held under the supervision and monitoring of a committee of race governors headed by Belgian Patrick Demontre. It is worth noting that the tour is an important stage in collecting points in preparation for the 2025 World Road Championship, which is scheduled to be held for the first time on the African continent, specifically in Rwanda.
