At the end of the five stages, Saeed Safarzadeh of the Islamic Republic of Iran national team won the gold jersey, while Milkias Maekele and Yuel Habteab of the German Bike Aid team came in second and third.
Daniil Peronsky of Team Vino Kazakhstan wore the mountain jersey and Milkias Maekele of Team Bike Aid Germany wore the green and white jerseys.
In terms of total team points, the German Bike Aid team came in first place, the Islamic Republic of Iran national team came in second place, and the Turkish Baldiye Spor team came in third place.
Rasoul Asadi, head of the Cycling Federation, said at the closing ceremony of the tour: "Cycling tours are held on different roads and cities and are an excuse to show the security and tourism capacity of a country."
Alireza Manadi, a representative of the people of Tabriz, Azarshahr, and Osku in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, also stated: "We are proud to hold this sporting event in Tabriz with the presence of athletes from 14 different nationalities around the world."
He added: "The Tabriz Petrochemical Team has been a team in the cycling arena for years, and after many efforts, it has finally been revived this year."
He continued: "We hope to see other high-level sporting events soon."
Manadi said: "I will do my best to hold as many of these events in our country as possible."
Habib Maghsoudi, Director General of Sports and Youth of East Azerbaijan Province, also stated: The 38th Iran-Azerbaijan Cycling Tour will be held with the greatest energy and the best facilities.
He added: "We hope to have created good memories in Tour 37 for the riders and domestic and foreign guests."
Davud Garshasbi, the governor of Tabriz, also stated: "We have had a tractor championship, a horse riding festival of Arasbaran nomads, and a cycling tour in the province in the last 2 months."
He added: "We hope that, with the promise of the parliamentarian, we will be able to organize this cycling tour at a higher level in the coming years, although in the current conditions of our country, organizing such an international tour is unique."
