Can Eritrea Become like Dubai for East African ?

Opening our eyes

The king of Dubai had one good idea. He decided to share good idea with his cabinet and people. He had a good vision what Dubai look like in 20 years. He gather all the people and told them that he wants to invite all foreign people to his country and build it and they will own 75% percent and UAE own 25% percent. The cabinet and the people were outraged and were not happy with his idea. He told them go milk the Camel and sleep on the dessert. You have no education All you know is how to milk the Camels. Later, the cabinet thought why know. It is dessert after all if they can build nice building and boost the economic, it is will be In our interest. So, they decided to invite all international people. The Indian came, the European came. African, Arabian, Asian, and build the United Arab Emirate In few years. Later the king said we will give them 50% and we keep 50% and everyone agreed. Few years later changed 75% to 25% and so on. He made tough Rules. No corruption, anyone found in corruption, he or she get kick out or get killed and he killed his own son for corruption millions of dollars from his bank accounts. Today in the street of Dubai, no one take anything. No one drink and drive. Anyone found and drive get kick out of the country forever. Most of all no foreigner can become citizen of the country, UAE. They all of to renew for residency every 2 years and they have to pay a lot of fees. Except American maybe European everyone else require visa and fees.

The weather is harsh, and it reaches 50’C 118F or higher.

I just returned from Asmara, Eritrea. I am glad it is peace with our neighbor Ethiopia. We opened our border with Ethiopia, it already shows that peace is good. Nakfa started circulating now from one pocket to another. A lot of goods been exchanged with each other. Just before the border opened we were going to buy Taff(Teff) for $5000 Nakfa, a day later after the border opened the price went down to $3,500.00 we basically saved one hundred US dollar, even later went down to $3,2000 and kept going down to $2,800 dollars. The Tea and coffee shop were busy, the taxis became very busy all of the sudden. Everyone was running, buying, selling, etc. Asmara became like Dubai over nights.

Most people were excited. The street of Asmara were crowed with Ethiopian Moto cycles, Cars, Trucks. Godena Harinet was full of people. They were happy to come to Asmara. They were taking pictures in street of Asmara specially at the Cathedral. Bars, night clubs were busy. Shops were also very busy with Ethiopian customers. The mood was good. Everyone was excited. Some of them they only have Bir $ and were exchanged them with Taxi drivers. People were nice enough to help them.

Initially, the police, traffic were out of sight. No one was monitoring the traffic rules, how they were driving, and parking. They were excited and were stopping in the middle of the road and blocking the roads. It created a lot of problem with traffic but people were not complaining, it was just excitement for everyone. People were making money.

Today Eritrea opened border to Ethiopia and I think that we need to open our borders to all neighbor countries. We need to make tough rules but we should welcome them all. Our police, Munichipe, traffic officer need to function normal at all time. In the street of Godena Hadinet, no vendor should be allowed. No beggar allowed. We need to build housing for people who begs in the street who need a place to eat and sleep/shelter. This should be our government number one priority. We need to keep our street clean and free from any out of ordinary.

We need to start welfare system. Kids should not beg for school supplies in the street of Asmara. We need to help them and support them. We need to keep our street clean like dead animals( I saw dead horse in Enda Rasi) dead dogs, cats, etc. We should be able to contact who ever in charge, animal control. We need keep our cities and people clean to void health crises later.

Eritrea can become like Dubai.

Thank you

How To Turn Medeber into Goldsmith

Dear Dehai Members,

Do you believe me if I told you that I found Emerald in Eritrea two years ago? When I went to Eritrea, I was going to teach math but the school was over for the summer/winter and it was first month in June. So, I was wondering what I can do in the country while I was there other than visiting family, eating drinking Bun, etc. Even though I studied about minerals like golds, silver, Uranium, and Emeralds, I did think that I find any but to my surprise, I found what I was looking for. Initially I was just curious to know if I can find it in Eritrea. I forgot Eritrea is located in Africa and Africa is rich of minerals.

I could not believe it when I found Emerald. Oh my God. So, I want to make sure what I found was real so I examined the area where I found it if the description matches and the type the soil it was in also I used light to see if I was able to see through and use my cellphone for the light and put it on the top of the light if the light can go through. It was in the neighborhood so I didn’t want to look suspicious, so I returned the next day early morning and found more, so I knew that underneath the ground there might be more Emeralds that can generate millions of dollars to Eritrea. My hope is Eritrea can give me permit to prospect the area if there are more Emerald underneath the ground, it is possible that are can bring a lot of wealth to us and I can also teach Eritrean where Emerald can be found in other part of Eritrea as well.

There are ther minerals in Asmara and other cities in Eritrea almost everywhere like silver and gold. In Mai-Temenay there are a lot of silver in the ground, in Mai-Tsihot there are also in the ground, I was wondering how come we don’t have a goldsmith who is a metalworker who specializes in working with gold and other precious metals in Eritrea. I feel like to train some of people who work in Medeber . They are very hard worker but not smart and what they produce is cheap stuff, I am sorry to say that. Eritrea need goldsmith so can help themselves and their families. Close to Medeber , I don’t know the area exact what it is called but I saw people selling what look like garage sale some old household things that are old staff and antique.

I can tell that some Eritrean are very secretive. They don’t share information easily. They have to know you very well to share information with you. I left Eritrea when I was 12 and live in the west way too long 36 years. It is possible that I don’t know my own culture very well but I like to share information and I believe information is power so is knowledge.

I am studying Tigrinya now so I can teach math in our mother tongue, Do you guys know the terminology in Tigrinya? Like Calculus, integration, derivative, set theory or number theory, logic, Algebra etc. If you understand the subject intuitively or concept very well, it is easy to express it in your own mother tongue, you just need to find out what the terminology is and the rest is details.

Whenever I come to visit Eritrea, I would like to teach about goldsmith, math, future Energy solution for Eritrea. Specially, I love to help kids who struggle in math who are 5th grade and up that’s my specialty. I use to be an average student. I was not the smartest in class but I am naturally curious in life. I like to know things and if I put my mind into it, I can easily figure out the solution of a problem. In mathematics one learn how solve a problem, first you see what you have and also know what you looking to solve and third find the missing part.

Eritrean Innovation

What does Eritrea need? I can help Eritrean student to become Mathematician, Nuclear Energy Scientist and, Philosophers. It is not hard but who am I? I am self-taught mathematician Eritrean who specialize in logic. What is logic? Logic can helps a student how to reason correctly. In mathematics, philosophy or science, it is important to know how to reason. If one knows how to reason correctly, it helps you understand how to process your thoughts. Do I have any degree? No, I do not have any degree from any Institute, College or University that’s why I am self-taught mathematician. I took different route than most people.. The minute I learn how to reason logically in mathematics, I applied that thinking in all aspect of my life. It helps one not contradict in your thoughts. It means there is a process of way we should be thinking. If you have a process how to solve something, there are steps you need to take in order to do the next step, you cannot do things randomly expect to get good result. A good result is the outcome of a good process. If you know how to something good, there is usually there is something you do process. So, what it means is that the end result of what we get good or bad, is directly the result of our process. If our process is not correct, you can’t get expect good result. If you have good process, you get good result. In mathematics there is subject that we can learn how to reason correctly. Sometimes I help kids who struggle in math. Even though it looks like I teach them mathematics but I am helping them to think logically through numbers and later I interpret it that concept the way we reason in their everyday life. Why should reason correctly and how it can help us get good result we want.

If you really think about it how the west advance in technology is through simple thinking and logical reason that their philosophers came learn from us. All Greek philosophers, like Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, etc use to come to Africa and were amaze how Africa was advance in Geometry, Architecture, etc. All the west did was transform the writing etc through electricity. 0 & 1 binary. If electricity flows one (1) if doesn’t zero (0). Otherwise our alphabets and Latin alphabets (use to be Sudan-ze) came from the same design. (Nai Aboy Ketish Meskel). “Zihazkayo Werki Darga Terki”

I don’t think most of us know enough and how rich is our culture or I don’t think we appreciate it enough how it can help us advance if we know more about ourselves. We try to learn the western culture so much, we don’t even know ours well because we don’t how they drive or we don’t even question how the western teaching mathematics. Most of all we do not know the history of mathematics. How it was 400 years ago? If French mathematician did not invent X & Y-axis would Isaac Newton or Gottfried William Leibzig have invented calculus? How was it before calculus was invented 400 years ago? Why is mathematics abstract today? Can we even go back 2018 years to know how it was? Why do we see today in Eritrea, doors, walls semi-circle designs? Have thought you ever, maybe that how use to be graphed mathematics before? Our geez numbers don’t have zero? Why and was it neccesary then? In fact not having zero, it is easier to think logically in order to help you how to reason correctly? Why don’t we teach what is Nai Aboy Keshi Meskel? Why it is diamond shape? This shape exist 4000 years ago. Why is Sabawi writing different than today? There are many question we need to know and ask, that what I would like to teach in Eritea in Mai Nefhi.

What does Eritrea need? Eritrea need all of us today more than before. All of us need to contribute whatever we can little or big. We need to build Eritrea together and that requires each of contribution. Where ever we are let’s go back build Eritrea and support Eritrea always and help one another anywhere.

Always Awet Nihafash!

Eritrea has over 200 island

Eritrea has over 200 island in the Red Sea like • Dahlak Kebir, Dhuladhiya · Dissei · Dohul · Erwa · Harat · Harmil · Howakil Dhuladhiya · Dissei · Dohul · Fatuma Halib Hando Howakil and Massawa

Our tourist are coming to visit Eritrea but we have not build enough hotels in the island yet. Unless the hotels that we are going to build are international recognized brands, they need to select for names one of the below names for any investor for Eritrean or other.

Whenever we build Hotels in this Islands or give permit to a builder. The name of the hotel, it needs to reflect our history like Gedli Hotel, Tsiniat Hotel, Tewefayinet Hotel, Gunbet 24 Hotel, Hagerawunet Hotel,Erse Murkesa Hote and this are few example how we should name them. This should be one of the criteria for any investor Eritrean or non-Eritrean because it identify the place and names, it is Eritrea territory or place, especially in the Red Sea beaches.

This island and hotels should attract tourists, honeymoon, cruises, etc. The Red Sea water is very beautiful and clean. We need to start planting more Palm Trees, exotic trees in this islands. We have a lot of work ahead of us. We need to start emigrate back to Eritrea to build our country together. We have big potential to be become successful in all aspect like tourist attraction, health, education, etc. With all this change is coming, Eritrea does not tolerate corruption, unlawful activities of any kind that is not Eritrean norm or culture. We have to be very responsible all of us. If Eritrea is going to become successful, we have to be responsible for all our action. We need to increase the salaries of employees and anyone who does not do his or her job, need to be fired and his or her name should be recorded for reference office. In the near future all Eritrean should own nice house, with good paying job. No, homelessness beggars should be in the cities of Eritrea. Right now there is housing shortage in Eritrea, it is very expensive to live in Asmara. Let alone to the residents even for us who come abroad, it is very expensive to eat out in the restaurants. The restaurant prices are way to expensive in Asmara. In my opinion any meal should not be more than $150.00 Nakfa comparing with the exchange rates $1 US dollar to $15 Nakfa. What the restaurant owner need to understand is that their profit should be generate more from selling drinks not food. The food should be reasonable. For example if customer orders tea, what is the price of tea? Hot water and tea bag? The profit margin higher on drinks than food should be. I like to suggest to the Eritrean restaurant to bring the food price lower and sell more drinks.

Finally, I would like to say that we have a lot of works a head of us in all aspect, hotels, restaurants, bars, commodity

Thank you

Eritrea Needs Us And We Need Her.

Even if you aren't able to go to our annual meeting or to Eritrea at this moment, we need your participating on an our project, You can still help us help others by supporting us. We might ask for your kind assistance to review our document, project, guidelines, etc. Like trees need sunshine to live, Eritrea needs professional Eritrean like you. We need to give back to our community and our beloved country Eritrea. We paid the ultimate price to become Independence country. We all have different profession. We need to share our knowledge and experiences with our community and in Eritrea.

I have no degree of any kind. I drop out of College because I was not learning anything in school. So, I decided to take different route to be educated and become self-taught mathematician.

I start reading books day and night about philosophy, psychology, history, mathematics, Religion, etc. The years were from 1992 to 1997. In 1997 I was in my own world. Some people might call me a little bit strange. My view point were totally different than most people. I felt like no one can understanding me what I was talking about. I was kind scary to some people or crazy. The good thing about my believes was that my study was mostly about mathematic what I am able to expressed in words, I can also expressed in numbers so what I say in words can be verified in numbers and graphs and that reminded me that I was in my senses and after all that I wasn’t crazy as what some people like to think about me. I was just in a different world and different level of understanding about the world in regard to mathematics, Nuclear Energy, Religion, histories, Shapes, alphabets, writing, etc. My view of the world changed once I read a book called “Mind & Tools”, I read the book in 22 hours that has about 300 pages. I use to be addicted to reading. If I didn’t read, I use to feel very bad like I wasted the day without gaining little more knowledge, even though it was break for me to spend time with my friends.

Another challenging subject was my own mother tongue. I left Eritrea when I was 12 years old in 1982, I did not learn enough Tigrinya vocabulary to express myself or able to write a book about mathematical because I was a kid and then I immigrated to the west. My goal is mathematics to be taught in Tigrinya. All concepts need to be written in Tigrinya. I bought four different Tigrinya dictionaries to find out all this mathematical terminologies in Tigrinya. X& Y-axis, Integration, derivative, etc. It took me one year to study Tigrinya terminologies. I am ready since 1997. Some people might ask why in Tigrinya, I say why not in Tigrinya. Mathematics is the most easy subject if you understand the most basic concept which is not taught in school today. Most of all, if Eritrea is going to advance in technology or planning to go to Moon or space or want to secure energy in the future math is the way to go that’s my I became self-taught mathematician. Eritrea needs us and we need her. Yonatan Solomon Russom, Self-taught Mathematician
