The Eritrean Festival in Seattle 2017 was a huge success as it was planned and run by Deki Hager. Great job! We enjoyed it tremendously.

Yesterday's opening of the festival was an amazing day and experience I won't forget. Witnessing and experiencing this beautiful Eritrean rich and proud culture. I met many Eritrean families who came from different place with all their kids. I couldn't believe it. It is amazing. These are families that I know who have four kids, etc. Families who have two kids and so on, is remarkable.
Do not forget, as Eritreans anywhere we go, (through thick or thin) we are also self-sufficient. We're all doing this on our own. we're decent, everyday hard working and law-abiding citizens in this world. We're all doing this on our own time and dime, doing what we can and to be proud to be part of our people. That is what we are here for. We don't take money from anyone for anything we do... (through thick or thin) in all our Eritrean Festivals. You don't see this anywhere else. Our people are amazing. Believe it!
No matter how much they try to divide us, no matter how much they try to intimidate us, it's futile. As Hafash or Hizbi Eritrea in Diaspora- we will always stand together and fight for the interests of ALL Eritreans rights, and we win.
I am so proud of all those who made this possible. Thank you.

For the first time in its history, this year's Eritrean festival (East & West) will be held in a slightly different location, which is scheduled to be held from 11th to 13th August 2017, that's in Seattle Washington. As we all know, Eritreans from different states are ready all packed up and are on their way to the festival Eritrea in North America. Hope to see you at the festival.

The sport of cycling is notorious for its culture of cheating -- made most famous by the rise and fall of Lance Armstrong and his use of performance enhancing drugs. Now when cycling hopes to be cleansed of the dopers there's a surprising new twist: riders enhancing the bike's performance. Some professional racers aren't putting steroids and blood boosters in their veins, they're hiding motors in their bike frames. We followed a lead to Budapest, Hungary, and met an engineer who said he built the first secret bike motor back in 1998. He told us motors have been used in the Tour de France. As we first reported in January, our story is not about the latest drugs the riders are using to cheat…it's all about enhancing the bike.
